The Saturday Night Show (RTÉ One, 9.40pm)
Guests tonight include journalist Paul Kimmage, who will discuss his decision to drop out of the Brian O’Driscoll book, and actor Michael Harding will talk about his role as Bull McCabe in the 50th anniversary production of The Field. Model Roz Purcell will also be on to chat about food and fitness. #satnightshow
Ted (Channel 4, 9pm)
Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane wrote, directed and lent his voice to this comedy about a boy’s magical living teddy bear, Ted, who remains his friend in his adulthood. Mark Wahlberg plays Ted’s pal, John, while Mila Kunis is John’s long-suffering girlfriend. Not one to watch with your mam, unless your mam is a big fan of raunchy humour.
Some Mother’s Son (RTÉ2, 9pm)
A young Aidan Gillen stars alongside Helen Mirren in this drama. A teacher in 1980s Northern Ireland struggles when her son, an imprisoned member of the IRA, decides to join Bobby Sands in the hunger strikes.
Everyone’s talking about… #Eastenders
The classic soap turns 30 this year, and will celebrate with a week of live episodes from February 16-20.
Central to the plot of the live episodes is the almost year-long mystery of the murder of Lucy Beale – and the BBC are promising that her killer will be revealed on Thursday, February 19.
